MEDITATION DOMES/NEST

When creating this nest I had a hornets nest in mind. I really enjoyed the way they create such nest by spitting into each part and creating something that almost looks like silk or canvas. The final finish when its all done and made is something I also want to mimic in my model. This beautiful texture is something that I have seen before and when looking into Peter Zumthor’s work and to me as well is something I fell in love with when thinking about materiality and to translate from nest to what it became was a trip in itself.
