MESA VERDE DORMS

This time around was very unorthodox approach on creating something new. We had to create armor for our body then translate that into a dormitory. So being in love with plants and pulley systems I combined the two to create this piece of armor that is functional and also thinks about the environment since we live in a urban atmosphere that sometimes forgets the plants that gives us life. This project of mine is called Mesa Verde Dorms which means green table top but mainly because of the green space that is utilized throughout the project. When thinking about my project I want to have a similar feeling towards nature and architecture embodied in one. Ma Yansong’s Quote who is an infamous Chinese architect explains the relation to nature and architecture fused in one very well in this amusing quote. "Its connected deeply to our spirits. If we can capture its feeling, we can forget the constraints of the material world.
